The Magical Education Initiative, or MEI, is a Magical Affairs Project which aims to help fund financially disadvantaged Magi's education. Relying solely on donations, the Project provides:
- Tutors to visit the home of Magi
- Wages for Tutors
- A limited stipend payment for those families who have lost their child as a worker
The Project does not use a full curriculum to teach its students. Instead, it teaches the the skills a student needs to gain entry to a school via a scholarship or a pre-agreed placement with a school.
The MEI has the following sign-up criteria;
- Be the age of Eighteen or under.
- Meet the catchment area requirements.
- Be interviewed by Magical Affairs alongside their parents before sign up is offered.
In depth information on the Project can be read on its Motion Paper.
